Bangkok: Schwimmendes Restaurant - Floating Restaurant

The water level in Thailand is currently very high, due to extensive rainfalls in many parts of the country, and this is also visible in Bangkok.

Last evening we went for dinner to one of our favorite restaurants, the Kanab Nam, which is situated right at the riverside. Already from the express boat we realised that it would be a wet adventure.

Doug evaluated the situation.

Then I was led to our table, with some assistance.

We had a look at the menu while waiting for our beers...

It didn't take long, and the beer came floating up to us.

Now we had time to relax, and  to enjoy the gorgeous view.

Then the different dishes were served by very friendly waiters who made the best out of the situation and had their fun.

Yam Talee - Salat mit Meeresfruechten - Seafood Salad:

Pak Boong Talee - Fried Morning Glory:

A duck dish which will not become one of our favorites:

Then we had a steamed fish which we don't have a picture of, but it was delicious.

The both of us were happy as two clams at high tide, and swom back to Banglampoo.
